Cultivating Kindness Yoga Therapy Workshop
A online 5 week Yoga Therapy Course
2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th Jan
Sundays - 11am - 12:15pm
Each week begins with a welcome and gentle warm-up before easing into our Yin yoga practice. In this slow approach, we connect deeply with our bodies as we hold the pose for a time to a depth that feels right for our bodies. We resolve to remain still and we pay attention as we come out of a pose. Throughout, we are holistically noticing the effects on our bodily sensations, our feelings and our thoughts.
We explore themes from compassion-focussed therapy through teachings, guided visualisations and reflection. These nurturing practices can help us accept and manage those symptoms of depression, anxiety and trauma which are so common in our human existence.
The sessions close with a relaxation, facilitating an open-hearted sense of calm and acceptance.

Harassed by mental clutter and chatter?
We can empty our overflowing cups to reveal a creative, joyous space.
In this beautiful one day retreat, we are stimulated and balanced by a wonderful range of yoga styles.
There’s a session in Hatha, Ashtanga, Alignment-based, Yin and Mandala Yoga approaches, each complimented with a creative mindful practice.
Each part of the day will bring creative surprise and joy.
A Zen fable tells of a troubled student who approached the Zen master, asking for guidance. The Zen master’s response was to offer tea, continuing to pour until the cup overflowed. In response to the students consternation, the Zen master commented, “In order to be able to a receive wisdom, you must first empty your cup!”
In this workshop we open our minds to explore approaches to yoga from different traditions in a light and playful way. We provide the space to ‘empty our cups’ and connect with our innate creativity. The creative elements on this day are varied and like the yoga practices, come from different traditions. From photography to having a go at writing a haiku, we encourage you to enter into these sessions with a sense of curiosity without taking ourselves too seriously!
The sense of spaciousness we will be cultivating throughout the day continues in the closing relaxation, with a selected guided visualisation to enjoy.
