Yoga and Foraging
in Ancient Landscapes

25th - 27th October 2024

During this Autumnal weekend we will be reconnecting with the natural world and the beauty of Mid Wales though yoga and meditation practices.

Both on your mat and in the surrounding countryside, we will focus on

awareness of movement, breathing, and mindfulness.

We will be foraging in local places of beauty, looking for detail, with concentration on the plants, animals and insects. Foraged food will be used to cook in our Saturday evening meal.

The Retreat Programme

4 distinct Yoga practices - energising Vinyasa morning practice,

and outdoor calming and restorative practices in the evening by the sound of the river with Gray Nolan.

Walking meditations and outdoor sense explorations

in the beauty of the Black Mountains.

Foraging with author Adele Nozedar.

Chanting and singing around the fire and in our natural landscapes.

Daily Vegetarian and Vegan* meals (and cake!)

All meals are vegan or vegetarian, freshly prepared using local ingredients and tailored to your dietary requirements. One meal will include items from your foraging excursion.

The focus of this retreat includes yoga, foraging, chanting and sound meditations, lead by River Flow Director Gray Nolan and forager and author Adele Nozedar. For more about Adele, click here.

Your home for the weekend will be at Chapel on the Green where you will

be treated to the most delicious home cooked vegetarian and vegan food.

During the retreat there will be three guided walks in our stunning Welsh countryside.

- an evening walk under the moonlight to invigorate our senses

- a guided foraging walk with Adele Nozedar

- a guided walking meditation to close the retreat

The programme is structured for both beginners and experienced yoga students and you will be guided with kindness and laughter throughout the weekend.

In addition to the yoga sessions and foraging there will plenty of time to relax and read, book a Thai Yoga Massage with Gray, or take a trip to Hay-on-Wye (the historic town of books).

We close the retreat with a walking meditation in our beautiful local landscape.

Gray will be making sure all your needs are met supported by his husband Matthew (host and chef). Whether you are hoping to develop your yoga practice or just want to have a fun but relaxing break away from the city - we have you covered!  This weekend is all about recharging your batteries and acquiring tools to help you reconnect with yourself and nature, and to live in the present.
