Johanna Warren - Vocal Embodiment Workshop

Johanna Warren is an internationally touring singer/songwriter, Reiki Master and herbalist living in rural mid Wales. As a musician she has released seven acclaimed solo albums, lent her voice to Netflix’s The Midnight Gospel, and recently composed music for a new adaptation of Euripides' The Bacchae. At her live concerts she delights in creating intersectional healing spaces, often partnering with local herbalists and farmers to share their work with their communities. She is a certified Reiki Master/Teacher in the Usui lineage with twelve years of experience seeing clients and teaching groups around the world. Her private sessions incorporate traditional Reiki energy healing with vocal sound healing.

Johanna's Vocal Embodiment workshop is designed to help you unlock the latent healing powers of your voice. All of life is made up of vibrating atoms. Through sonic resonance, we can directly affect this infinite vibrating field of energy. Together we will explore visualization and energy healing techniques combined with intuitive vocal toning to practice releasing tension and stagnation stored in the body, and bringing harmony and wellbeing to our minds, bodies and spirits.

Graham Nolan - Yoga, Meditation & Mindfulness

Graham will teach all Yoga sessions drawing on various styles to suit the time of day and abilities of practitioners. He will also lead the group in guided meditations and mindfulness in nature activities, and at times will use Thai Yoga Massage adjustments to enhance yoga practice.

Graham and Heather sing together as the duo, Downward
Dog and hold chanting and singing workshops together.

Heather Murray - A Taste of Taiko - Japanese-style Drumming.

Heather is an award-winning musician and music therapist, who has trained in Japan and is committed to teaching the art and joy of Taiko Drumming to groups of all ages and ability. She runs 'Taiko for Pride', and is one of the founder members of Taiko Wales. She also works as a psychotherapist, a Yoga teacher and runs Wellbeing projects.

Taiko is an exhilarating performance art that originated in Japan. We play large drums with big sticks, called ‘bachi’. We make big movements that feel fierce, fun and empowering! We will be covering basic technique and learning a piece called ‘Matsuri’ (Festival), with additional treats in store.

~Join us for a soul-nourishing escape, where tranquillity meets transformation.~

The weekend's activities are a collaboration of disciplines to provide resonance with nature, each other, and your personal journey.

In addition to the set activities and workshops there will plenty of time to relax and read, book a Thai Yoga Massage with Graham and/or a Reiki & Vocal Sound healing session with Johanna, or take a trip into Hay-on-Wye (the historic town of books).

Graham will be making sure all your needs are met, supported by his husband Matthew (host and chef).

You will be staying in unique and memorable accommodation at Chapel on the Green and will be nourished with the most delicious vegetarian and vegan food (and amazing home-made cake!) tailored to all dietary requirements.
