15th - 17th November 2024

This is a yoga and wellbeing retreat for our LGBTQ+ community.

This will be a weekend of indoor and outdoor activities designed to promote self-nurture, empowerment and connection - to our Selves, each other, our global community and nature.

You will be in the heart of the Black Mountains in Mid Wales, near the banks of the river Wye, with access to local national parks and beauty spots.
Heather and Gray will lead all activities, and you will be nourished with culinary delights from Gray's husband Matthew during your stay at the creative and delightfully queer Chapel.

The approach of acceptance and compassion underpins the work of two senior yoga teachers, Graham Nolan & Heather Murray. They actively promote wellbeing in the lgbtq+ community, organising Pride events, workshops and retreats.

Activities are suitable for all abilities. The yoga includes strengthening poses to energise and empower us. There are seated sequences to loosen our spines and foster flexibility. There are breathing techniques and meditations designed to cultivate kindness; towards ourselves, our community, rippling out into the wider world which is so in need of compassion.

These are interactive sessions, delivered in the light-hearted and warm style for which these teachers are renowned.

Retreat Schedule

4 distinct yoga practices - energising Vinyasa morning practice and calming and restorative practices in the evening with Graham Nolan.

Outdoor walking meditation and mindful sense exploration on a National Trust Nature reserve.

Daily vegetarian and vegan meals (and cake!) cooked by resident chefs at the Chapel.

In addition to the guided activities, there will plenty of time to relax and read, book a Thai Yoga Massage with Graham, or take a trip into Hay-on-Wye (the historic town of books). Amongst the many wonderful bookshops in Hay on Wye, we are especially proud of our newest one, the very, very pink 'Gay On Wye' which has an extensive variety of queer themed books.

You will be served delicious vegan and vegetarian food prepared by Matthew and Gray, tailored to all dietary requirements and you will love Matthew's delicious cakes.
